Tiger Cruise

Hi Everyone,
I'm curious to know if anyone has been on a Tiger Cruise or do they know anything about what goes on during the actual cruise....is it true the Tigers get to be on top of the ship as it comes into the final port?

I believe they do get to especially if the sailor they are with is manning the rails. Matt's mom should be along to answer better than I can as her daughter was just on a tiger cruise with her son.

Tigers do get to help man the rails ... great way to finish out the cruise !!

While onboard, Tigers get to eat, sleep and play right along with their sailors. There is always plenty of activities scheduled up to keep things exciting. You could expect to see a demonstration of the various weapon systems, Damage Control,, flight operations (depending on the type of ship) and possibly even a replenishment at sea.

You may even get to drive the ship for a minute or two .... little brothers and sisters REALLY dig that !!

Keep in mind that while your sailor sponsor will be available to spend time with you during this portion of their deployment ... they will still have their normal duties that they are required to attend to. So don't be upset if they have to leave you for a few hours to stand watch or something.

Bring the camera and take lots and lots of pictures !!!

Yup Tigers get to man the rails. My daughter said going on the cruise gave her a better undertanding of what her brother does. Alot of the activities were geared towrds young kids, so she just hung out with her brother, Any questions feel fre to PM me
