Okay so will I be DQ'ed if one leg is half an inch to an inch longer then the other one? You would not be able to tell unless I had no clothes on and it has never affected me at all...it doesnt get in the way of anything...and also does it matter if i have smoked weed before in the past?

Not sure on the leg length, but it also depends on how long ago you smoke the weed. It WILL stay in your system for up to 30 days. Believe me I know this, my ex brother-in-law was a pot head, it eventually killed him at only age 53.

Do you have medical do***entation on the leg issue ? If not, and if it hampers you in no way (running, lifting, marching etc ...) ... then it won't be an issue unless you make it an issue. I personally wouldn't mention it ... by the way, I have the same problem. Didn't discover it myself until I was in for 10+ years.

As for the pot .... get off of it, stay off of it for a couple months and then go to meps. The key to it is to STAY OFF IT !!! There's no place in the Navy for potheads. Don't try to mask it or "cleanse your system" because it doesn't work.

I wouldnt mention the leg thing as long as it doesnt give you any troube. And as far as the weed thing goes, as long as you're not currently doing it or have only done it maybe once or twice, i wouldnt mention that either. Having a drug issue in your record could keep you from going overseas. A girl in my A School class was supposed to come to Japan with me but she couldnt because of a drug waiver. As long as the weed thing isn't a problem for you and it's a past time thing, then I wouldnt worry about it.

As a word of caution ..... if there is something that you choose not to mention to the recruiter and at MEPS ..... you need to keep it to yourself from that point on too.
In bootcamp there is what is known as "The Moment of Truth" where they give you one last time to confess, to tell them anything that your recruiter told you not to say anything about ... etc. Sometimes they get kinda sneaky about it and trick you into getting "diarrhea of the mouth". If you come clean & admit to it, and if it's an issue .... then you are processed out with little to no chance of coming back. Rather ironic ... but that's the real world.

I was one of those "only smoked pot once and didn't like it" kids .... that's my story and I stuck to it for the 20 years that I was in .
