yeah, it is...it's just hard to leave everyone and everything that i'm already used to and go somewhere new! well, we're not exactly sure on a "cross deck" date anymore since the GW had the fire. it'd be nice to head on to Hawaii and then cross deck in San Diego =] I'd get to kinda be home for a little bit!

actually, i just hope we go...they're saying we're still going, but the GW is very damaged from the fire they had. they're in san diego right now with repairs. i saw some pictures of the damage and it's pretty extensive. they're talking about makin us do a mini cruise. we're goin to guam, but from there we're not sure. there are talks of goin to hawaii for the 4th and then on to san diego for hull turnover...i hope so!!!

My son is in San Diego. On th USS Comstock. They are in port for I think 3 more weeks.

Only one injury and a few heat stress issues in a fire that lasted for a few hours .... that is how a finely tuned fire party takes care of business !!!

Yeah, we still have no idea what's going on with us and decom...the Captain was down in my shop for a new Lieutenant's pinning ceremony on Sunday and he doesn't even know what's going on after we hit Guam next week. And I know he's not lying because on the secret side we have our schedule [of course you know that, PISTOL] and everything's TBD! YUCK!
