One month and counting til GL bound.

My son leaves in one month and has more plans to be away from home than home during this time.

My heart breaks a little more each day...
I am proud of my son and his choice, but this is my baby....
and my heart is breaking.

Kay......I have been there done that 2 times now and I did survive both of them....it is not easy but we are here for you.....just spend as much time with him as you can.....let me know if you need anything!

Ditto to EVERYTHING Kristie said. Hug him a little tighter and longer each time you can, take lots of pictures (the funnier or quirkier the better) now for you to smile at when he leaves and for you to send to him while he is at boot camp. Make him all his favorite foods, maybe that will entice him to be home a little more and plan at least one mom and son date before he leaves - this is will be priceless in the near future.

And remember that when you see him at graduation - how sweet that reunion will be. He will be such a changed man - even if you think he is perfect now - it gets better. What an amazing transformation.
