Well my son left for great lakes tues afternoon he arrived there at 730 last night . I can't begin to imagine what all he is doing this morning.I cried so hard when nhe got on that van..wow what an emotional roller coaster.

Each day will get a little easier. Tonight is one of the quiet nights in the chat room. It's about the only night that almost no one is in there.

Hey a 900 division. That is awesome. So did you get the form letter?
Incase you didn't know it the 900 divisions are the performing divisions.
they consist of Flag, Riffle, Band. I can't wait to hear what your son will be doing in the 900 division. My daughter was in the recruit band.

My son when he was there was also in a 900 division. He was in Flags..he carried the NV state flag. Not CA, but hey...for us, Reno NV is only 75 miles down the road! So close enough for me!

900 divisions are classified as "band camp"...haha

Phillip said he wouldnt volunteer to do band and i know he doesnt want it so would they still put him in there.

The 900's aren't all band, some are flag (carring one of the 50 state flags.) or rifle or choir. Also I think some of those in the 900 div. are lookouts for people that may pass out duriing PIR.

The best thing to do is wait and see what his letter says. If he doesn't tell you ask him in one of your letters to him.
