Hello from Vegas

Hello - I am a new Navy mom that has two children in the DEP. My son Casey, will leave for Great Lakes May 22nd and my daughter Kylie will leave July 31st. We are a family of 8 plus two dogs, 1 cat and 3 goldfish. Four of the six kids still live at home (until they ship out anyway).

We are a pretty typical family - like to quad in the desert and go to hockey and baseball games. Otherwise you can find us in the backyard!:laugh:

WOW...............6 kids..........That's impressive!!!!! And two of them shipping out!!!! Tell them both thank you for choosing to serve out country for me, please!

My son graduated BC in March and his A school in June. He is now in Coronado, CA undergoing the Navy SEALs BUD/s Training.

Be prepared for a roller coaster of a ride! Be sure to lean on us whenever you need to and if you have any questions, ask away! We have been there or are there now, so we definitely know all the emotions that you can have!

Welcome. I can only echo Barb 'WOW', to have two going in back to back. What a rollercoaster ride you are going to have. Glad you found this site.

My son's PIR was June 9th and he is currently a MA stationed near Pensacola.
