My brother is in the Navy and our family is so proud of him. Right now he is A-school in San Antonio to become a Master at Arms. He will graduate I believe the 18th and will be going to Greece!

I'll admit it I'm a little jealous  , I'll have to settle by living vicariously though him. He's only 18yrs old and already making a good life for himself. He takes a lot of pride when he wears his cracker jacks.

I just found this forum tonight and plan on sticking around.

Hey, welcome to the site! From the Chicago area huh? You may be a great help to people with questions about the Chicago area. Is it cold there now?

I say it's quite warm. anywhere from 30s to mid 40s. Unusual for us since our ground is usually covered in snow.

Warm enough for me to walk around in a navy sweater!(i think they are quite warm)

Welcome Vega,
My son is also a MA and is stationed near Pensacola, Florida. He really wanted to be posted overseas but I think because he is in the Naval Reserves he was posted here in the States. He is bummed about it but what can you do? I look forward to hearing about your brother.

To our Lovely new Tour Director.
A post for future reference of Things to see and do of the area would be nice from your persepective. Some may have to have disclaimers though like depending upon weather/season.
Maybe Ray could make it a sticky post under the PIR section.
