1st phone call

So I got my 1st phone call yesterday. It was an hour long (well actually closer to 75 minutes, but whose counting) and the best Christmas gift possible. My husband is sick, like I am sure that most people are there (he was able to get a cold pack from medical). He doesn't find boot camp hard, just having a hard time with being away from me. I wanted to fly out there and pick him up (I know he is probably sicker than he led on-- trying to be macho). You all have been great support for me during this time and I am so grateful for this site. Only 32 more days to PIR! Can't wait. Christmas is just a day away and it doesn't seem possible. Of course my real Christmas will be 1/25 when we can celebrate together. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

WhooHooo on the phone call - and a long one too - that's awesome. PIR will be here before you know it - hang in there - you are almost there.

Everyone gets sick - that darn Ricky Crud. He'll feel better after the gas chamber - that'll know everything, litteraly everything out of him. :)

boot camp isnt hard...it's just the navy putting you into their mind set is all.
it's really hard being away from home...especially when you get letters and call home! not saying that they're bad...but during boot camp, they keep you pretty busy so you dont really have time to miss anything...which is good cause things would be SO much harder otherwise..
