Kitty Hawk, the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, returned after completing a scheduled fall deployment and participation in ANNUALEX, the maritime component of the U.S.-Japan exercise Keen Sword 08. The exercise was designed to increase interoperability between the United States and JMSDF and enhance their ability to effectively and mutually respond to a regional crisis situation. OH!
i have some pictures from our AnnualEx cruise with the Japanese...
it's cool because we had like 20 Japanese ships and like 5 of their subs along with our battle group.
there were a bunch of their sailors on the ship too...and there was a sailor from the navy in India...pretty cool stuff.
We also had another Chinese sub following us for a few days....they like to do that a lot...
last year a Chinese sub surfaced about 5 miles from the ship....it kinda scares me, i'm not goin to lie!!! but i know we're protected by a few destroyers and cruisers and a sub...and we have a whole bunch of aircraft on the ship...we'll be fine =]

Man....
We've been back for 5 days and have already had enough incidents that the CO is threatning to have a total ship recall.....on a Sunday.

Where they call EVERYONE on the ship and you have to go sit in your shop and get lectured until they decide to let everyone leave.
