Kylie made her run this morning at 9:35 a.m. - she not only shaved her 14 seconds off but she ran it in 14 minutes 9 seconds (they need to run it in 14:45). She told me to tell all of you thank you for your thoughts and prayers as she knows she had a little help from above and that God and his angles were pushing her along this morning.
She got to call me afterwards for an hour and a half!!!! Needless to say, mom's relieved and she is as well. She said, "Oh Mom, I was so scared but I just prayed and paryed this weekend and put it in God's hands this morning and reminded him how much I wanted to see my parents this weekend, and he carried me through."
Another hurdle accomplished! Whew, glad I don't have to do boot camp round three for another 6 or 7 years - two in a row is more than enough. I just can't tell you (you know this already from your own experiences) how proud I am of my sailors.
She is off to battlestations tonight and was so pumped up for it she could hardly stand it.
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers - they really do work.
