An Hour Long Phone Call Yesterday

We got a letter from Kylie Friday saying that if her division scored at 4.9 on an exam they would earn a hour long phone call.

So, yesterday she got to call - her division scored a 4.85, but the RDC was still very impressed so they got to call.

My poor baby is Soooooo sick - she even spent a night in the hospital - ambulance ride and all - she had a sore throat but one night after running it closed completley and she couldn't breath. So, off they took her. She said she is "better" now - but she didn't sound it and it sounds like she is coughing up a lung - not good. Just tears at a mom's heart strings.

Other than that, she talked to her dad for a long time (which was awesome, because when she left, they weren't on the best terms). They talked about their favorite thing - Drag Racing!

She said again, how much she is looking forward to taking a long hot bubble bath! Ah the simple pleasures in life! Oh yes, and shock tarts....?????

So Saturday was a good day - got a call from my son Casey in the morning and just about an hour later the call from Kylie. Who could ask for anything more?

That is awesome Beckie...nothing better that hearing their voice. It makes life a little more bearable after you receive a call. I asked all those nagging questions that had been building up and I felt so much better after. Glad you received calls for both yesterday...Congrats!

That's great!! an hour phone call, WOW!! Mine have been about 15 minutes. I am glad she is feeling better, Ryan also spent time in the hospital with a throat infrection, but is also better now. Wow!! two in the Navy, I know you are double proud, as you should be. Way to go Navy Momx 2!! Congrats and hats off to you.

aww yay... phone calls can make ANY day better! glad she is getting better! not long now til PIR! then she can relax and have her candy too. lol... its funny what random things they crave when its all taken away. so glad you got to talk to her for a while. almost time to start packing! woo hoo!
