Well I got a 45 min. call yesterday and boy was it great! All my unanswered questions finally got answered.

Seth is doing good, can't wait for boot to be over. The next two weeks are really heavy for him. He has to retake his running test, he failed by 1 second, so he retakes on Thursday. He has a big written test on Friday which he has to pass, then Battlestations! He feels pretty confident that he will pass the running test and he said that he is studying for his written test already. He is excited for Battlestations.

Funny thing...my son loves guns, so the shooting part of boot was what he was really looking forward to. Anyway he said that he had a RDC that didn't know anything...lol. His shot gun was overheated when he got it and told the RDC that and overcourse he didn't listen to him. So, after several times that the gun would not fire, Seth told him again that the gun was overheated and the RDC was frustrated and said, "Give me that F@#%*@ gun", grabbed it by the barrel and burned his hand...lol. Seth thought that was so funny.

Seth also said that they started with 88 - men/women in his division and there are only 78 left. A lot of guys/girls have been really sick, Seth had the flu for over a week and with no medical care (his choice) he is finally starting to feel better. He also has chosen to stop eating any meat at boot, because he thinks that it was making him sick is now getting all his protein from peanut butter and protein bars. But it must of worked his stomach is finally settling down.

Thank you all for the support while on this crazy ride they call "Boot Camp". Couldn't of done it without you!

OK so I had a blonde moment. LOL

But I will have a brag card real soon and that will be my babies picture in uniform.
I can't wait to hold it next to my boot camp picture and my husbands. But especially mine as two women who served.

Less than 3 weeks now and counting down. :woohoo:

yeah, it's common for a lot of the recruits to get "ASMO'd" in boot. We started with like 80 and graduated with 69. We were the smallest division! HOOYAH 154!
