My son will be graduating on Sept 14th. Is he allowed to wear his contacts or glasses for PIR? If so can I mail them to him?

to the best of my knowledge he will have to wear the glasses they provided for him....you know the ones all the recruits call the birth control glasses? Bummer - but he will look so awesomely handsome you won't believe it. Enjoy graduation and the time spent with your new Sailor!

Go ahead and mail them....they can actually wear them for pictures and graduation.....both Brandon and Jennifer got to keep their contacts when they went to boot camp and both wore them for graduation.....

My son wore his contacts for pictures and graduation as well. You're ok to mail them and maybe even a small bottle of solution if he needs that too. God bless, Debbie
