Internet Access at Great Lakes A-School

Does anyone know anything about the availability of internet access in the Great Lakes Corpsman A-School dorms?

My son is there now. He has a laptop but is having difficulty accessing the wi-fi network in his dorm.

Does anyone know who he can contact for support?

They have to order it and pay for it. I dont know who they have to contact there? I'm sure if he just asks around, they will be glad to help him.

Comcast is the carrier for GL......Brandon was able to purchase a wireless router and get signal from one of the other guys that had an account and he just paid him a fee each month.....they all pitch in to pay....

That is a good question,my son is going to Virginia Beach A school do you know how he will get service with his lap top?

When Jake was at GL for ATT, they did the internet wireless router and shared an account. The only problem was the guy that owned the account got moved. So He went with an air card thru the cell phone provider. It worked great in GL not so hot in San Diego. Each base is different. I am sure that Jake will make some different arrangements when he returns from deployment.
