Ship 11 Division 311 - Got a letter

Got a letter today. He says things are going well.
Says he don't get yelled at too much.
Tell anyone who send me cards - NO SINGING CARDS, and that I may not write back due to lack of time, but I really like receiving cards and letters so keep them coming, and I like the questionaire send another one.

Thought I would share also. We got our first real mail today also..

My daughter is doing good. She got to go to church this past sunday and said it was weird not going with all of us. She also said she is in the band playing piccolo and she loves it. They practice on sat. mornings. She also caries the flag when ever they march somewhere. She says it's because she is short. She is only 5"1" . She says it's not as bad as she thought it would be. We will see if she keeps her possitive attitude as time goes on.

And she says write alot and send pictures.

She also wrote her sister a letter and her brother so we really got 3 letters to the house today. I can't stop grinning.

I am so happy for you guys...also glad you guys received positive news! Geez, I have sent Seth one of those singing cards...guess I won't send any more in the future! Well maybe tomorrow I will recieve my first card...I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

I got my second Letter today. My son is also in Div. 311 Ship 11 and I am so happy to hear from him. I can't wait for the first phone call. (Hoping tomorrow)Sounds like things are hard but starting to figure it out. I am so proud of all these sons and daughter for serving our country.

No letter yet. Talked to girlfriends mom and g/f got 2 more letters and her mom got one too. Trying to stay upbeat in letters but it is getting harder and harder. Gary's little sister don't understand why he hasn't wrote to us. On the flip side, maybe he will call today????? Will let you know if I receive anything tonight, since it may take an extra day for the mail to get to Georgia.

Well no one has received a letter from Seth...either
A. He hates to write and just isn't doing it. OR...
B. Something is wrong and he can't write.
I know I will feel so much better once I receive something from him. Jeez....I hate this. :-(

I know how you feel. Got my 1st and only letter yesterday. If they only wrote HELLO I'm ALIVE, we would be happy. Is that so much to ask.
They just don't get it.

:bigemo52: Got a phone call at 4:37 today. He's doing good.
I asked him if he knew Gary and he said yes. Told him to tell Gary to write his mother and call her. LOL . . . .
He said they were originally supposed to get 15 minutes for calls but it got cut down, so he couldn't talk long and he was going to call his g/f next.
But at least we got the 1st phone call. :woohoo:

Got a phone call this afternoon at 4:40. Gary sounds tired but good. He knows Brian and Steven. He did good talking until they got told they had to get off the phone. Got a letter today also. They had IT because someone stole food from the galley. They will learn. Gary is the Mail PO. I miss my brat!! Only a couple more weeks left....YAY!!!!!!

I got my first phone call also. I am so happy :laugh: to hear his voice. He has a very bad cold and blisters all over his feet. He souded really up beat. I am so pround of my son and all your son's and daughters.

aww..y'all don't worry! In boot camp we're only allowed to write on Sundays...well you can write at night, if you're brave enough, but they won't get sent out until that Monday cause we turn them in after Holiday routine is over on Sundays....it'll go by fast!!!

8/22/07 Got a letter today. He is SIQ with a 102 temp and sore throat.
Didn't pass his 2nd PFA due to temp and being sick. Division has lost 3 60 minute phone call opportunitys due to someone not doing what they should have, or not asking for help. One person each time has lost it.
Let's pray that he got well by monday or he will be to far behind. Due to monday class was a pre-requiste for the rest of the week training. So if you missed Monday - you missed the whole thing. Won't know anything till next week on what happened.

Oh Delores...I will pray for your sons speedy recovery. I'm glad he went to SIQ to get some help. Ya, what do you do...Seth said people in his division will never shut up...they are told to by the RDC's but continue to talk then the whole division gets in trouble. A few bad apples sure do spoil the whole crate...

I am so sorry to hear that he is sick and he lost phone time. I will keep him in prayer. Let us know what happens.

My son is also in the same division and is also sick. He said he is trying to tuff it out. He also doesn't want to be held back. I will pray for the whole division this week.
