My 2 week absence

I am so sorry that I was away for the last 2 weeks.....but we went on a 2 week media fast.....no TV...no computer (except for work) and did some heavy searching and praying over some business decisions.....

But I am back now......I really missed everyone and you have no idea the withdrawl I went through...............LOLOLOLOLOL!

Welcome back! How awesome that you went through and commented on so many different postings!
I think we all need a media fast from time to time, although I don't know if I'd be able to do 2 weeks! Especially if it was so easy to get to. Now if I was marooned on an island, that would be a piece of cake :)
My daughter who is Queen of Instant Messages and the like, rolls her eyes:eterollll: at me every time she sees me checking the Navy message boards. I told her if she'd give me her cell phone for a day, I'd stay off of the message boards for a day.....no deal.

I admire your ability to stay away from all the media and for two whole weeks. I am not sure I would be able to. The computer is my link to so many things as I am not big on talking on the phone. Glad you are back, we missed you.

WOW - I could not go with out the computer or phone for that matter since that is how I stay close to Alyssa with her being in Sicily and me here in FL. That would make me nuts. Congrats to you for doing that. How are your sailors?

Sailors are doing fine.....Brandon is somewhere out there....lol....on his first deployment and Jennifer is in A school....and hating it....lol....but she will be fine....

Oh...and we made an exception to email and that is the only thing we were able to do since husband and I both have business on the side...we did have to make that exception....but as for TV and surfing and posting and reading....NOT....it was torture...lol

How does Alyssa like Italy??

Glad to hear your sailors are doing fine. Alyssa loves Italy so far. She says it is kind of borning on her base as nothing exciting as she puts it happens. She stands guard at the gates until she takes the patrol test then she will be in a car driving the base. Only other thing is she says it is very HOTTTTT :sooohot: !!! It can get up to 120 in the summer but she is thankful that next month when it started to get really hot she will be on nights.

Send Brandon my best and tell Jennifer - A school always is yuk - Alyssa could not wait to get out but once it is done and she is on her way to her first duty station it will all be worth it. Getting thru Basic and A school seems to be the hardest part.
