My daughter just got back from PT and has to pass her IFA next Saturday. The Chief said she had to run a mile and a half within 15 minutes, plus 50 sit ups in two minutes, 19 push ups in two minutes. Can you tell me how long they have to do the run at Boot Camp? What does it take to pass the physical portion?

Thanks for your help.

Beckie.....Jennifer had a really hard time passing the run while in BC....we were down to the wire and she did not pass it until the Friday before her graduation.....she passed it with 8 seconds to spare....and it helps to have others run with her...

I actually got to meet one of the girls that ran with her that last time....she will have many opportunities to pass the run....just tell her to do all the running she can before she goes to BC...

Thanks Kristie - since my post she has been running three times a day, everyday and her time has improved greatly - plus she is taking karate to help get her in shape. Her recruiter and Chief of the station has been working with her as well. I think she will be better prepared for what lies ahead.

That is wonderful......Jennifer is not a runner and still struggles with it.....just tell her to keep it up....the more she does before she goes the better it will be for her once she gets there....

Beckie, you can go to this pdf do***ent and on page 12, you will see the requirements for females 17-19 and on page 13 for females 20-24. I wasn't sure how old your daughter is. Sounds like she'll be very well prepared!
