 Just so excited, our son will be arriving back in the states in a little over 6 days.
Can't wait to see him. He has been gone 6 months. We are so proud of all of our servicemen and women that are serving over their and around the world and back here in the USA. He is a SEABEE. We are all driving down to meet him when he comes in at his base in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He says all he wants is a hot shower and his civilian clothes and some good old country cooking and sweet tea. :woohoo:
Any other Seabee moms out there.

Hello to everybody. Thanks for all of the replys and I will make sure I give him a great big hug from all of his Navy family. Without this site while he has been gone I would go crazy. It helps hearing from the rest of the Navy family about their sons and daughters that are serving our country. Heard from our son yesterday he is out of IRAQ and just waiting until it is time to board the plane for the states. Countdown is 4 days now. He called while I was in class for 1st Aid / CPR for my job. I work aboard a military base on the eastern seaboard feeding the Marines, Sailors, and other branches of the Service. He was in great spirits and looking forward to coming home finally. He seemed more relaxed and more like himself he even had to joke with me about my class. Which by the way I passed with flying colors. So I will keep you all posted and looking forward to spending time with him.
His 72 year old grandma will be their with us, so that will be a great surprise for him.

Hello MommaDukes, great to hear from another Seabee Mom. Your son will have a lot to do once he graduates boot camp and go to A school. Seabees do alot of traveling atleast 7 months out of each year they are deployed and the other months they are at their base getting ready for the next deployment and taking classes and honning their skills. Does he know were he will be stationed at. Our son is a steel worker/construction apprentice stationed at Naval Construction Mobile Base in Gulfport, Mississipoi. That is were we will be seeing him return from IRAQ. He won't be able to take any leave until the first part of June when he comes home to do recruiting for the High Schools in his hometown and then get some leave to be able to see the rest of the family. Heard from him again today more excited than he was on the last phone call, because it is getting so close now to actually coming back to the states. If you would like to get in touch with me my email address is lilbear442001@yahoo.com
Take care and I will keep you all posted.:woohoo:
