New member here. My son left for boot camp on 30-JAN, was due to PIR on 30-MAR. He didn't make the standard for his final PT run mostly due to being ill, but also due to his not being a runner (must've inherited that from me, I guess, since I've never been one).
He is currently in FIT division with an unknown graduation date. I'm hoping his troubles with this don't "color" his attitude overall about the Navy.
He's headed for a CTT rate and A-school in Pensacola when he finally graduates.

Welcome to the Cafe,
We will be praying that your son makes in through.
There is a couple of other parents that have kids in the fit division also.
So your not alone.

Welcome ...
I also will pray for your son to make it though. They work with them good from what I understand in that div. So dont lose hope, more so dont let him lose hope. Keep writing and encouraging him along...

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm sure he'll make it; just wonder when.
I saw in some other post that graduates from the FIT division don't PIR, not that it matters that much since it would surely be too short of notice for us to get over there anyway.

Will keep you son in my prayers. My son also was not a runner but thankfully his case of the ricky crud wasn't so bad that he managed to make it. I can't imagine them not allowing them to PIR as they have one every week but I guess as long as they accomplish the goal that is what really matters.

Welcome Aboard!! YOu will find this site very informative and supportive.
My son also failed his running on his final PT and was sent back to the "fit" division. They really do work with you because they do want you to graduate. My son finally did it (and I might add with NO time to spare) and got to graduate with his division after all.
Please don't give up hope and tell your son not to give up either. I have confidence he will make it.
