Hello,
I have a question about military benefits. I have a friend. She is married to someone in the navy, but they have been separated for almost 4 years now, and she is engaged to someone else. Yes, while being married, so she can milk the GI BILL and medical. Is she even eligible for benefits in this situation? I know, on papers she is married and everything... But they are not together anymore. She is planning on divorcing him and getting marrying the new guy when the current navy husband gets out of the navy, which would be in about 3-4 years (he just re-enlisted).
So the question is, is she eligible? Both of them, her and her husband, are lying for her to get those benefits.
