Hello, all!

I just recently joined this site in hopes of gaining as much information and tips as I can about the Navy. I'll be making a trip to my nearest recruitment center in a few weeks, askin' what the Navy can do for me, and what I can do for the Navy and this Country. I have no prior experience in Military services, but have thought about joining the military for a few years now. I haven't because, quite frankly, I don't like the thought of dying, and I'm not sure how well I'll take to Boot camp.

HOWEVER. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and realized that my fear of a lot of things have held me back in so many ways I don't want to recount here. I've decided that I need a big ole push to get moving in the (hopefully) right direction, and so... Cue Military Services. I'm leaning towards the Navy just by the research that I've done, but I want to weigh all of my options, so I'll be visiting recruiters from each Branch. I have loads of questions, but I'll surf through the threads and see if most of them have been answered already, lol. In any case, I'm sure I've made this long enough, so I'll wrap it up with a pretty bow. Thanks for reading, and more than glad to be here, folks!

Endless thanks to those who have served, are currently serving, or about to serve!

Kindest Regards,

~J.

 Welcome and hopefully you will find a whole lot of your questions answered here and/or that you'll know what to ask the recruiter when you go to them.

Thank you! Actually, you read my mind, I was about to post a new thread for advice on what to ask a recruiter, =). Keep an eye out for it, if you have any thoughts/advice!
