you wont get really nervous until about 2 months before. right now its just alot of waiting for you. just do what your recruiter asks and start working out if you aren't already. have fun waiting!

What's there to be nervous about?! What specifically is on your mind?

Keep in mind that thousands upon thousands of recruits have been transformed into Sailors over the many years that our Navy has been around! You will going into boot camp where there will be yelling, a lot of pressure, both physically and mentally, however, you will make it!

i just dont know what to expect..my best friend has been thru basic and all but its just difficult to try to understand what to expect..i talk to my recruiter alot about it..its just insane! it was a when i joined the Navy,i practically walked in the office and less than a week later i was swearing it..i thought about the military before, but not Navy..its just taken a while to get used to it and learn all this stuff after i signed up for it..

Like posted above, don't sweat it! It is what it is. You can't sit around worrying about something that you have absolutely no control over, except your performance and behavior and all it will do is drive yourself crazy.

Thousands upon thousands of recruits have been thru boot camp and survived. I am very positive you will also.

Just be be prepared when you go, make sure that your memory work is done and you can recite your memory work on demand (in and out of sequence) and that you can perform physically!

A friend of mine who just recently grad boot camp said he had a lot of fun, Boot camp is what you make it. Dont go there thinking the experience will be horrible, go there with a positive mindset and i'm sure you will have no problems. :)

You will be just fine! Thousands and thousands of future sailors have gone though and came out actual sailors. It is going to be a little be scary, of course, it is a whole new environment. No phones or civilian clothes, but just think of the future you will have after it. It is only 9 weeks after all. Just count down the time till you are on a ship :D

Not everyone heads straight to a ship. You have A school and then you may get shore duty first thing....as was our case.
