Hi all,

I'm new - just joined tonight. A friend of mine from a couple other Navy sites told me about this - it's going to take awhile to get used to this format (way different than Delphi!!).

Already there is so much to read about and see - the pictures are GREAT!

My name is Jodie. I live in Alaska, am married to a wonderful guy who is in law enforcement. My son, Phil just recently received orders for the USS Mesa Verde, but will be on the USS Nassau for a couple of months first. Long story - something to do with a strike.......doesn't matter - he's going on his first ship and is thrilled out of his little gourd. A little nervous, you know? But excited - just so happy. And of course, that makes me happy.

I'm off to search the site and see what's here! Looking forward to meeting you and getting to know about you and your sailors!

Hi Jodie! It's Lisa. I'm new here too. Still trying to figure it out also. But, I'm sure I'm going to like it once I do. LOL LOTS of people I recognize. Yay!! So, if I get lost, ya'll will help me get found, right?

Oh believe me, I've been wrong alot. The most recent is when I didn't think my son would get married so soon! Boy was I wrong!!!
