Hello shipmates, family, friends and loved ones! Good to see sites springing up in support of our comrades, past, present and future!!

My name is Chris and entered the United States Navy 27OCT77 and retired 31AUG02. I originally joined as a Radioman, which the rate was done away with and made Electronic Technician Communications. From "A"school, I volunteered to be come a "Bubble Head" (Submarines), serving on the USS Will Rogers (SSBN 659)(Gold), USS Von Steuben (SSBN 632)(Gold), USS Andrew Jackson (SSBN 619)(Blue), USS George Washington Carver (SSBN 656)(Gold), USS Trepang (SSN 674), USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723) and three tours at Naval Submarine School, Groton CT.

I remain closely tied to the Navy, working as a contractor at Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Middletown, RI.

I look forward to reading and participating with the folks on this site and wish all of you fair winds and following seas in the years ahead!

You sure didn't much port time on those boats!
Subs have always facinated me, but I spent my sea life dodging 'em when they were running on the surface!

Thanks for your service!
