Long story short a good friend of ours Overdosed on computer duster inhalent and died. We went through many things today and all talked to the chaplain. he was a good friend, but with hidden problems apparently. Myself and my buddy who is also a great friend have volunteered for official military escort and we will be taking him from here to Germany, Germany to Delaware, Delaware to either Arlington or South Florida where his parents live for the funeral.

I'm taking a hiatus for this time and will be back after.

Steve, take it easy and be careful! Sorry for your loss guy, and as you are already doing, make use of the Chaplains as needed!

Sad to hear that this crap still goes on in the Navy. A gal I served with back in 87 lost her husband to huffing a very potent chemical (we call it "Trike") ... inhaled at 0645 and dropped dead at morning quarters at 0700.

Sorry to hear about your friend ... wish he had gotten help.

Respectfully,
PISTOL

Grab a Hefeweissen and a Schnitzel while you're waiting ... then settle in for the long trip home. Wish it was for better cir***stances.

Cheers,

tried Pils, it too was great.
We actually got onto a civilian contracted 747 cargo plane out to Dover. It was sweet because it was crew and us. first class style executive seats and great food all self serve.
was a great flight, had time to write my poem in case they ask us to say anything and also a nice letter I'll be giving to the family.

If anybody is anywhere close to Dover, Delaware we are here for about a week and are authorized a rental car. Not much really to do so let me know.

The cir***stances aren't good by any stretch of the imagination ... but you are taking part in a long standing tradition that means more to the families of the fallen than you will know.

Good on ya. Enjoy your down time ... and keep the rental car out of the snow drifts !!

Cheers,
