HI, I'm new here

Hi everyone! I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone. I'm new on this site. My son is not new in the Navy - he's been in about 4 years now. And I'm active on another site. I just accidentally found ya'll while I was surfing around!!

So, Let me introduce myself. My name is Lisa. My sailor is Christopher. I live in Alabama with my husband, my married daughter, my 3 chihuahuas, and my 2 grand-chihuahuas. My sailor is in Guam aboard the Frank Cable. He is married to Kristie and they have 2 children - Julian and Kaitlynn. They are expecting their 3rd child in August. I am looking forward to my trip to see them and help with the new baby A LOT!!!!!! He is an HT3.

I found this site through NP. This seems to be an awesome site. Lots of interesting information. My sailor gson's name is John. His PIR date was 4/28/06. Can't believe a year could go by so fast. Last year this time he was in bc and we had not heard a word from him. If there are any parents going through this now I know what you are feeling. We were so happy to get that first letter. John completed A school in Groton, Ct and is now in Norfolk, Va waiting for his submarine to be be converted. That could take 6 mo-1 yr. and thats all we know. We are from Baltimore Md and thats about a 4 hr drive. Of course in the summer months I'm sure it will be longer due to beach traffic. :smile:

Ah ha!!! I found out your secret!!! LOL LOL LOL. Yes, yes it's me! I actually used my NAVY mom name instead of my college mom name. I'm so excited to have finally gotten myself organized to find ya'll. Thanks for the welcome Delores!! Tell your husband, he just join right in!! We'll let him.

It is a very small world....because Moody is a very small town. Although Moody seems to donate quite a few of our young men to the Navy. My son enlisted along with one of his friends and then met up with another friend in Goose Creek.

And I met up with another mother from the town right next to ours.
