Galley Talk October 4th-11th

Been pretty busy with PTA/PTSA board meetings, setting up and opening our middle school book fair and getting ready to head down to Biloxi to visit Michael before he heads to San Diego. He did let us know that while he will be driving to CA on his own from Biloxi, he's meeting up with some friends in Texas and spending the day or two with them (and they're also going to Vegas) and then he'll finish the trip. He said he's got 6 days travel time so he wasn't going to be making just a straight run out there. He can't wait to head west. :laugh:

That's a loooong trip but if he plans it right, there is all kinds of cool things to see on the way !!

I love the west ... not quite so west as Commiefornia ... but all the rest of it is cool !!


Gorgeous weather today ... perfect for working in the yard. Been working on the acre next to the house ... planning on making exercise trails through the trees and a fishing pond eventually.

We're one of the few school districts that is open today....it's been years since the kids had Columbus Day off. I'm also right in the middle of running our book fair....can't wait till Friday when it's over! I've been running it for years and someone else needs to take charge next year! We'll be visiting Michael shortly...:laugh:
