Hahahaha ... I've had a few trips like that .... delayed due to weather ... being "under the weather" that is.
Have a safe trip.

Why don't you give me a holler since you know your schedule....how long will you be here (I should have asked this a couple of days ago, huh?) I'm not sure I still have your number so we may have to communicate through here I guess.
There are a few pics of the homecoming from the Pilot Online. It said the ship has a crew of 275 and there were several hundred family members waiting on the peir! From the pic, it looks like many several hunderd folks!
Welcome Home Shipmates! Now it's time to take a break!!

Just for info....pilotonline.com is the Virginian-Pilot's (our newspaper here in Norfolk) website. Also, Kymom called me and we're getting together for lunch on Tuesday. This will be our 3rd meet-up and I can't wait! She told me a little bit about homecoming and I'll get to see the pics when we have lunch.
That is great! I'm looking forward to this pics...

Great pics mom!!!!!! We didn't see you or our shipmate though!!!!!!
Enjoy yourself though and be careful.....!!!!!!
ok, After looking through them again this morning, I did see KYmom and our shipmate! Either I missed them or they were not there last night.
Great pics!!!!
Boy that brings back memories of returning from a deployment! It seems like it too forever to get the ship tied up, everything happened so slowly and the anticipation building. Unfortunately for me, it seemed that everytime we pulled in from a long underway period I always had duty that day. Not too bad though, everthing was always relaxed and peaceful.

I see you got to Waterside (downtown Norfolk on the Elizabeth River) and even though it looked like rain most of the day it did hold off for you guys! Isn't that fun going through the HRBT (tunnel)?? Just be glad it wasn't during heavy rush hour as you'd have been having so much fun counting the tiles, wondering why you weren't in the other lane that's moving instead of yours which isn't, ya know, stuff like that! :bigemo55:

Arrived home at 03:30 today. That was a long haul, but glad to be back home. Spent lots of money at the Eddie Bauer store, and browsed thru the Coach store. Notice I said browsed.. I have an issue with paying more than $100 for a wallet, I like the money to be green stuff in my wallet not the actual leather purchase value. LOL... Even the outlet prices on that stuff was high.
But Eddie Bauer had alot of good values.

Glad to hear you found a bunch of stuff at Eddie Bauers. Sorry to hear you didn't find anything at Coach as I've been pretty lucky there with the coupons they hand out and have gotten a bunch of things for under $100. I refuse to pay what stores charge for that stuff!

I did find a purse for under 100 then they gave a 20 coupon, but they didn't have any wallet's under 100.

It's too bad we didn't get to meet you when KYmom was here Nick. You'll have to put out a shout one of these days if and when you get a chance and/or someone else from the board happens to pay Norfolk/VaBeach a visit.

Yes, moving is definetly a pain. Especially as you ac***late more stuff.
When we moved into our house seven years ago, we decided we were not going to move anything. So, we paid out cash to get someone else to do it. That was the best move we ever made....
Actually, we enjoyed it...
