So, Im new to this Navy girlfriend thing...me and my sailor, grew up together since we were 3! Redic right? Took us 18 years to figure out we were meant to be, but we did. Funny...I know a lot about the army, but nothing about the navy. this is all too confusing to me...and my man is over seas..doesn't help matters either..he will be home soon...hopefully...He's also thinking about changing his job, boy oh boy..I know most of the generic stuff about the navy, that goes for the military in general...I know how to handle deployments the best i can...BUt with his job, it freaks me out, since i know more than i should ever know, or want to know..sometimes i wish i was completely left in the dark. lol

Im a full time student, for a few more months, and hopefully moving down to where hes stationed, if all goes well with getting a job :] We don't plan on living together just yet. and thats perfectly okay with me, dont wanna rush things, or make eachother crazy..gotta ease back into seeing eachother, besides through skype! heheh

I hope to talk to anyone! I love meeting other ladies to talk to! Even if we are miles away!!

Welcome Aboard!

Sounds to me you are approaching this from a wise headed approach. You need to finish your studies as that would benefit your family if you were to get married.

Ask whatever questions you have, that is one of the reasons we are here. The other is just to antagonize each other. :) Seriously, ask whatever you don't understand and we will collectively try to give you an answer.

What is your boyfriends rate (job)? Why do you know so much about the Army? What is your major in school?

Good. I'm both an Army brat and Army veteran. I know of IS's very well and served with a couple when I was in. They do a lot of important work!

Like I said, whatever you have questions of, come on and ask, we will answer you if we have the answer!

Good degree. We need all of the computer nerds we can handle, especially these days! I don't have a degree, but I am the fix it guy for my office and division so that we don't have to do to the help desk who starts off by telling you to reboot your computer even though you are having problem logging into a database. Are you a Junior or a Senior?

I am senior, I took a lot of classes and ended up graduating early, Only 6 months, but hey, saves around 17 grand! hah. I love my major, and love what i do. I do work for our IT department here on campus, and cant wait to become a full tech. I hope to one day be a military civi, but will see where this crazy job world takes me! Yea, he tells me he does a lot of important work. Hes moving around over there, so his job has been crazy. Hes actually one of like 5 navy guys there, the rest are all army. Hes either working crazy hours, or not working at all. Hopefully tomorrow that will all be fixed, when he finally moves back to the main base. One can hope right? Both of us are very military orientated, I love the idea of it, and he loves being in it. (well, most days...heh)

That's wonderful. When he get's back, send him our way, as we occasionally have IS questions thrown at us that none of us have actual experience with, just people that we know and what we see them do. That would be a value to us here on the Cafe.

Like I said, whatever questions you have, just ask away, we will be more than happy to help the best that we can!
