From Navy-Parents!

Hi, Everyone!! Wow, seems a lot has happened since the last time I was able to chit-chat. I haven't been online w/ Navy-Parents in a LONG time, so I wasn't aware of the situation.
Anyway, my "handle" on that website was D-12sMom. My Sailor was at A-School in Pensacola until Sept. The Navy then sent him to Virginia Beach, VA for 3 months for C-School. He is now stationed at Oak Harbor, Washington. His first comment when he got there, "Wow. Wow. It's beautiful here!". :p He's liking it there. In June, he's off to Japan. He's pretty excited about it. He comes home for Leave at the end of April. I'm hoping to make a trip to Oak Habor before he leaves for Japan.
Hope everyone has been doing well! I've missed all of the chit-chatting on Navy-Parents!

Tonya. I read your post and was wondering if your son is stationed at Whidbey Island. My son was just stationed there on March 11.

Yep, Karl is at Whidbey Island. He's been there since January. He's made quite a few buddies and has even reconnected with some buddies from Pensacola, FL. One of his buddies from Boot Camp is located at a Naval Base about an hour away (he's a bubble head). I can't remember the name of the base......
Karl's an Aviation Computer Tech. How 'bout your son? Maybe they know one another. Email me if you would like to.....we can swap more detailed info.

Welcome to another NP mom. My son is stationed down near Pensacola. He isn't thrilled with it but he will only be there until November of this year.
