LEAVING IN 6 DAYS(items im bringing)

ok guys so im gearing up i leave next wed June 2nd and i wanted to see if what im going to bring is not going to be taken away from me ... im not going to bring any extra clothes just a fresh pair of drawers for the morning i ship out and thats it (i plan on throwing out everything i dont need after the morning i ship out from the hotel) ie tooth brush razor stuff like that ... so heres what id like to bring

1. small necklace of the immaculate conception thin chain medallion smaller than a quater
2. timex wrist watch
3. tiny notebook filled with addresses and a few stamps
4. phone card with an hour on it
5. $25 dollars to get my last meal at the airport in chicago ...


and obviously my picture id and ss card ... what do you guys thing that should be fine right ? i wont even need a bag just my wallet and a pocket for the notebook !

bring $50 because when you are allowed to make your like only food run near the end of boot.. your going to spend money hahhah

you cant have your chain or your watch, no real reason to bring either of those. you can have 1 religious item on your dog tags but it also has to be approved by your Chief

Leave the watch ... you won't need one (you're going to learn to be VERY puntual without it !!)

I put a few addresses on a piece of paper in my wallet along with a small book of stamps. People can send you more later.

Go light ... treat this like a total life makeover ... start from scratch and grow up the Navy way !!
