I swore in today! I chose AC, but after my DLAB, I may be changing it to CTI...I also have the option of Advanced Electronics Computer Technician(???). I'm not sure yet which I will do, Idk much about AC or the electronics job, but
I wanna hear from you guys what you think! I am now officially government property and if I stay with AC I will ship 20101123!:woohoo:

I cant tell you anything about that field...im an engineer...a Damage Controlman!! I love being an Engineer....but as far as like CTI, it is a long school...like 2 1/2 years...so consider that. wow i will be in the navy for almost two years when you ship out....time goes by way too fast

A BIG congrats from me, shipmate.

I can tell you some things about being a CTI because I've worked with them before. They did at one time (dunno if they do now) attend a Defense Language school in Monterey CA, and dependent on the language you'll be immersed in you might be there for a year or less.

AC back in the day when I was in was considered the most stressful rating in the Navy next to Radioman, which I was. But it's considered a very rewarding rate too.

Good luck...you're on your way to an awesome adventure. I've been out ten years now after retiring and I really miss the life and the organization that went with it...CIVLANT here is lacking in organization if you ask me!
