Hello Everyone, I am new to the Navy Cafe. I am Debbie aka Michaelsmom. My son is stationed in Norfolk on a frigate. This website looks interesting. I am still trying to figure everything out. I recognize a few of your names from Navy-Parents.

My son Brandon is due to report to his first ship (a frigate also) on the 30th of this month and I have a daughter currently at BC

Michael has been real happy "so far" on being on a frigate. It seems that a smaller ship has a lot of opportunity.

Brandon is excited to be going on a smaller ship.....I just worry about sea sickness on such a small ship.....lololol

I was worried about that too, but Michael hasn't had any problems with that, he attributes no sea sickness with his riding the rides at Six Flags. When he was younger he had a season pass to Six Flags, I guess it was good for something. HAHA!!

I hear ya....lol......maybe I won't have to worry so much then since Brandon always rode the crazy rides that made me sick just to watch.....
