IA Duty

I just graduated "A" school top of my class and got first pick of all the orders! I chose the new Adaptive Force IA billet to 5th fleet in Bahrain. Anbody know about IA duty, bahrain or the mid east?

This is second hand knowledge but IA is individual agumentation and usually is for about a year. My friend's son was stationed in Bahrain for three years and really liked it there. Hope someone comes along that can give you more info. My son was to go IA this fall but his orders got changed at the last moment and he was to go to Qatar.

I guess they have a new type of IA duty for my rate, so I have a two year duty to fifth fleet where I fill IA billets as they are needed, but actually involving doing what I'm trained for

Don't know much about the IA program ... but I want to congratulate you for being top of your class !!
It's nice when YOU get to have your pick of the entire sheet of available duty stations !!
