I've been planning for the past year to join the Navy and go SWCC. I contacted a SWCC motivator the other day and they said the Navy is only allowing in-service candidates to go SWCC?? This really was not what I was expecting, does anyone have anymore information about this?? Will the Navy ever offer this program to new recruits again??

So the navy offers 10 contracts nationwide a month so all a civilian has to do is place in the top 10 in the country on a dry PST.

I don't think my recruiter would lie to me about something like that? If it's true or not either way, thinking theres only 10 spots open a month nation wide sure does get you movin.
prior service
That MAY be the difference.
