After my son promising me he was coming home on leave since December he finally has put in his request. He will be coming home the 16th for two weeks. Haven't seen him since the end of August. The greatest part is he will be home for his 21st birthday. It isn't quite real yet. Got the airplane tickets today but still hasn't sunk in. Can't wait to spoil him.

Well one more day. We did talk to him the other day and he told us his leave was approved so now just waiting for him to get here. He had an advancement test today so hope to hear from him tonight. Tomorrow is going to be a long day as his plane doesn't arrive until 11:40 pm.

Well it just seems yesterday I was so excited about Glenn coming home, now the time has come for him to leave. We have had a wonderful time and it almost seemed as if he still was living here. Tomorrow is going to be tough and the house is going to be so quiet again. Hope it won't be six months before we see him again.

 You will have to get a new fur baby or a new project to keep you occupied.
That is as long as it doesn't take away from the time you spend with your Navy Cafe family. LOL
I know how you feel. I finally went up and finished cleaning up Jake's room. He left the 1st of January and I just closed the door and didn't go in there. We hear from him via email almost every day but I haven't heard his voice since Jan 20th when he shipped out. He says the lines are too long and he won't stand in them to use the phones.

Thanks KYmom but I have my three kitties that have helped me through this last year. Wow it will be a full year in just 11 more days that he left for boot camp. He is safely back in Pensacola and I am back to my Navy Cafe and NP addiction. Although I won't be spending that much time on here tonight as I am emotionally exhausted.

My sailor is home on leave for 16 days woo hoo! It is so nice to have him home. He has really changed after being gone for 6 months, he seems so grown up. We went to my Dads 91st Birthday party today and my Dad was so happy to see him. Had a great time and now he is out playing pool with an old friend from school.
Hope you all get to see your sailors soon too.

Marcia,
Have a wonderful visit with your son. I truly enjoyed my visit and it even seemed to move slowly, except for the last couple days.
