Well... is there a chance your drug test is gonna come back positive? lol I think thats the only thing that would stop you from shippin out... you should know whether you had drugs in your system or not :p

we don't know what you did or didn't do.
edit: theres really nothing to pack anyway. I'd say glasses (if you wear them), address book, and a jacket because its probably cold as hell over there

i am still waitin on the phone call anxiously
Patience. You will have to learn like everyone else did a military tradition. It's called Hurry up and Wait! Get used to it and be patient.
I know you are anxious to get started, but at this point, there is nothing you can do to change or speed the outcome, unless of course you smoked a joint or two and afraid of getting popped on it.

nope never smoked in my life what got me ****ed up is my job i took off and i dont know if im leavin or staying then i just got off the phone with my rinc and he stated they asked for anyone who wanted to ship this wednesday and he submitted my name so he is waitn on a response himself i hate to say it but they are so unorganized
Well, I hope you get the slot.
Like I said, I know you are anxious, however, the best thing you can do is chill. Raising your blood pressure isn't going to help you or anyone else. When you are actually at RTC, your blood pressure will be at a raised level for 8+ weeks.
I hope you get a good phone call in the next hour or so!

Ok so today is wednesday and i still didnt get a phone call so im not takin this too seriously but i missed three days of work for this bs im going back to wokr today im learning that the navy is full of games
...the navy is full of games
No games, just procedures, policies and regulations.
Remember Patience. It's your friend.
Sorry you didn't get the call, maybe next time.

Patience .... most definitely. If you don't learn to handle the crisis at hand NOW ... you are going to be miserable for the next 4 years !!
Enjoy the down time while you have it ... once bootcamp starts you will not have any.

My recruiter just called me and asked me how was everything going i replied im on my way to work and and he said why are you going to work your suppose to be on standby and i replied for how long he couldnt tell me so i stated well when ever the navy decides to stop ****in with folks stuff hit me and i will get off work and deal with them honestly the navy has caused me to loose alot of shit this week im seriously thinkin bout goin army and cause at least they get you out when they say. From a pissed of Recruit

First. Patience.
Second. Do you have a cell phone that he can reach you on? If so, why can't you go to work?
Third. I was in BOTH the Army AND Navy (even had to go thru 2 boot camps :undecided:). There is no difference between the two when it comes to bureaucracy because both are very large organizations.
Fourth. If you think you would be happier in the Army, then please go, however, if you think you won't run into similar problems with rules and regulations, etc, you are just plain wrong.
Fifth. Patience. Its' your friend!
Sixth. Chill out.

Never heard of anyone having to miss work because they are on "Standby" to go to bootcamp. weird ...
Just have your gear packed for the trip to bootcamp (use a backpack so you can have it with you at all times) and just go to work .... as long as the recruiter has your number, tell him the address and say "I'm ready now ... come get me !!" ... tell the boss thanks for the job and the opportunity, tell them where to send your final check and then go to bootcamp.
No stress at all that I can see ... just eat this elephant one bite at a time !!

I think they may be thinking of terms as you're supposed to quit your job before you officially leave. but you're not officially gone yet so keep working. I quit the pay period before I left.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking about the Master at Arms rate?
If that is your question, having never been a Master at Arms, I will not be of any assistance. Also, What BS are you hearing and from whom?

Read the job description of a Master At Arms ... that is what they do. Let that description be your guide for what YOU would consider "goods and bads".
What is bad for one person isn't a big deal to the guy sitting next to him.
Perfect example of this is how you reacted to waiting for the call from the recruiter. You see it as someone not "turning your favor" and I see it as a normal delay in military processing.
MA is a great job .... if you have what it takes to hack it. (patience is a BIG part)
