Hey all,
I just came across this board and it caught my interest... Lots of good information, already answered some questions I had.
I'm waiting to hear back on a medical waiver for some retained hardware to let me know if the navy will even take me:undecided:
I'm hoping they approve or deny it soon so i'll know whats going on.. the anticipation is killing me
-----
A little about me -- i'm 23, from austin, tx and this is my 2nd time trying to get in the navy... last time i was 2 days way from going to MEPS and picking a job and all that madess and got nailed by an 18 wheeler on a motorcycle  hence the reason for the waivers now

Hi there TJ,
Welcome to the site! WOW, I'm sorry to hear about your accident! I'll keep you in my prayers that you get that waiver and soon! Do you know what job you want in the Navy?
My son was undergoing the BUD/s Training. He fell, broke his wrist and is undergoing surgery today to place a screw in the bone. We don't know if he will be able to continue with BUD/s once he is healed. So, we too, are in the waiting game.
Again welcome and I hope you get that waiver soon!

I havn't decided on a specific job i want yet, waiting till I find out on the waivers and get to see the availability of jobs and their corrosponding ship out dates...
I'm hoping to do somthing trouble shooting/repairing computers (but isn't everyone these days)
I'm finishing up school this semester, Liberal arts, Majored in History, Minored in Goverment (should mean with a bit of military service i'm competent enough to run for president..haha)
I've also been looking at going in as an officer instead of enlisted :cheesy:
