Any EOD's out there? Thoughts/experiences on this rating? Things to consider that you wouldn't have thought of before becoming an EOD? How is/was A school? Anything on this rating would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i cant give you anything really specific on EOD but i can give you lots on spec warfare in general and EOD's in bootcamp. In boot you will be in an 800 division which is a spec ops divison. you will be having PT everyday at boot instead of 3 or 4 days a week like regular divisons. You will be doing pool pt and running pt. when you get done with bootcamp you go across the street to dive and EOD prep school. you'll be over there with the buds prep guys and you will all be doing is PT everday mon-fri all day long. you will be swimming and running and doing some classroom stuff that will be on nutrition and running form and swimming and stuff like that, things to help you train better. with that you will be working with professional trainers and they are civilians. they are people with degrees and stuff like that. then after you do EOD prep for about 2 months you'll go down to Panama City, FL where you will have your EOD school. Thats where you'll do in more intense training and ALOT of school work. You'll be in school for almost a year learning about explosives and everything that has to do with EOD. During your 2 years of training you'll also go to different school, jump school, dive school, SEARS school etc..... biggest piece of advice... be ready. Be mentally prepared and physically prepared. SPEC OPS is 90% mental and 10% physical. good luck.
