I decided to sign up for this site to talk to other people about the Navy and the Navy life! I'm a proud girlfriend of an active sailor and he's going through corpsman training right now. I'm hoping for some advice from girlfriends, wives, or anyone in general since he will be leaving soon and probably be stationed on one of the coasts, which would only be accessible by flight for me.

I'm supporting him 100% it's just really hard right now since I'm in my Senior year of college and since we've only been dating around 3 months.

Hi Roblin...just be supportive, and dont be surprised if he gets asked if he wants to be a corpsman for a Marine unit..they get to be the medics for the combat units. So they get deployed with them. Corpsman can be stationed anywhere, as every base and ship have them, so he could even be assigned overseas.

Hmm.. Maybe he just isn't wanting me to worry because I asked about the overseas aspect. He said he'd never get stationed overseas. Although, I guess it's good that my major is Accountancy and I can pretty much do that anywhere lol.
