Wasn't sure if this was the right spot... (I do this a lot, haha.)
If you're going through a-school and then christmas exodus comes up, will you be allowed to go home? Are A-schools going to be closed for that christmas time slot? If it makes any difference I am asking about up in Great Lakes.
Was just curreous, and I also know you pay for your flight home and all.
-Thanks!

Yes. They usually will set up "block leave times" so to speak. when I was in A school, you either made it home for christmas and was back by new years, or hit just the end of christmas if you planned right and partied throughout new years. They will put all this out a month or 2 in advanced. Be sure to pay good attention when filling out the Leave chit since at training commands they tend to be extremely picky about how the forms are filled out. They should have some sort of "template" you can use for help.

IF the school is scheduled to be closed down..then yes you can go home..but then again..YOU have to have the time on the books for "leave" to be able to go, or stay at the school and do "watch duty" ..ugg

Ah! Thankee for the responses! I wouldn't mind missing x-mas, just as long as I see me fam for a bit. (Truth be told, I would really just wanna strut around in my uniform lol.)
I'm not even sure if I'll be heading off soon enough for this to occur but I figured I'd ask anyway.

knowledge isn't power, It's just the stepping stone to obtaining it ;)
