Hi everyone. I just joined the site today and i find it interesting. My best friend, who is about to become my bfriend if all goes well..jut got deployed yesterday. this is his third tour of duty and he will be in Afghanistan. Does anyne have advice about being in a relationship/marriage with a person in the military? I feel like there is so much for me to learn about the entire lifestyle. Thanks!

Trust and support would be the key on both sides, also being strong and able to handle your daily life and little crisis without making him feel like he is needed more at home instead of where he is. We always need them at home, but we can survive while they are gone.... The small crisis we can take care of... maybe not as well as they would too.. but we can do.
Finds things to occupy your time and it will go faster.
