So I thought I'd take a minute to say hi. My son is currently in DEP, but leaves for BC in 6 days. It's an exciting time. I was in from 82-91. The Navy was quite an experience for me, and I think my son will enjoy his time as well.

He is going in as an Aviation Electrician. Sounds like there might be a lot of Aviation types sitting in Pensacola right now waiting for classes to start. Heard that on another site. Anyone know anything about that?

Well, I look forward to meeting you all. Have a fantastic day.

Take it easy
Scott

Hi, my son is an AT currently deployed. He did his ATT school at Great Lakes and his A school was in San Diego, C will be in San Diego after he returns. We were sure he would go to Pensacola, but the Navy does like to keep you guessing.

Welcome Scott. Good luck to your son. My son left for boot camp almost a year ago, April, and is currently stationed at a NAS near Pensacola. How great that you will have the Navy to share with your son.

Welcome Scott,

I'm glad that you joined us. It is always nice to have others that have "been there and done that". It is nice that you and your son will be able to swap stories and know what each other is talking about!

My son is currently in Coronado, CA undergoing the Navy SEALs Training. He is actually on roll back from his original class and is awaiting the next class to reach the 2nd phase when he will class up with them.

Good luck to your son and please thank him for choosing to serve our country!

Again, Welcome

My son had to wait about 2 months for his classes to start while there....seems to be a trend! Good luck during this time.

THanks for the welcome everyone. i also appreciate the updates on the training situations for those aviation types. If you hear anything else, drop me a note. Heck, I'm more nervous about it than he is. I guess that's why I'm on meds on he isn't... lol
