Hey there
My name is Mauro I am 19 years old and for the better part of a couple of months I have been trying to lose weight so that I can enlist in the Navy I have been for at least two months off my program because I lost faith in that I could do it bur I know that I can do it now and I am close in my range of 225 I just need about 30-25 more pounds to go what my final plan is to go to my commuinty college for a semester and then hopefully that will be enough time to lose the last of the weight. and then its on to basic and the sea

yeah cant stress enough how important water is! Rule of thumb if your urine doesnt look just like the water you drink, drink more water lol. A hydrated body loses weight alot faster!

ride a bicycle. I actually sold my car here in Italy to buy a road bicycle. Im loving every second of it, and I'm definitely burning fat.

Best advice: Stay AWAY from BEER. I made my weight to pass medical and then put on 10 pounds just drinking a couple of beers watching the ball game. Eat lots of fruit, and check out the calorie content on every thing. Some salad dressings have nearly 450 calories per serving, so the salad may look healthy, but it's not. If your close to your weight and are worried about being a few pounds over, try drinking a bottle of Magnesium Citrate. I lost six lbs of water. It's not real weight loss, and exercise is still the best, but it can definitely help with the one or two extra lbs.

Do you have to be at weight before you can sign up for DEP?

I'm at 26% right now. My recruiter mentioned using a fat wrap, has anyone tried that?

If they are talking about wrapping you in Saran Wrap and sending you to MEP's ..... kindly decline and keep working at it.
There are wraps that are sold in the athletic stores that are basically a wide neoprene belt that wraps around your gut ... they localize the area that you want to sweat the water out of ... primarily, your love handles. Those are ok to use in your workouts ...

Good luck with the weight loss. It is a long and difficult process. I would stay away from the fat wraps and even the sweat suits as all of the weight that you are losing is in the form of water, which will then throw off your electrolytes. If you drink anything but water, try cutting out the carbonated drinks and switch to the low calorie gatorade.

Not just that ... people have gotten really sick that way.
I even heard about people rubbing themselves down with Preparation-H and then doing the Saran Wrap thing ...... hemmoroid cream shrinks the skin tissue somehow to help when they tape your waist.
Good Lord ... the things people think up to get out of good old fashioned exercise.
Cheers,
