View Full Version : Hi all, former Army interested in Navy OCS...
First off, great site! Lots of useful info that is helping me get to know the Navy better!!
I'm a former Army unmanned aerial vehicle operator and left the Army July 2005. I graduated from college last summer. I've been dreaming too long about Navy OCS and have definitely made up my mind. It'll be a huge experience jumping branches but I couldn't be more excited at the possibilities.
Now, I'll be 30 in a couple of weeks, will my age be an issue? What are the chances I wouldn't get accepted into an OCS class?
Any help would be appreciated!

holy crap you were a UAV operator? sweet!
I dont think your age would be too much of an issue.. theres people enlisting older then that.

Thanks but being a UAV operator doesn't seem like such a big deal to me, there are hundreds throughout the services.
Thanks for your reply

:) Hi, Matt.
My brother is in the army!
Uhm. My boyfriend (who is also named Matt) had a guy in his division that was 32. They called him Pops :) haha.
Congratulations on jumping branches!!! The Navy definitely is more friendly... compared to the Army who ruins lives. :P I'm totally messing with you. Thank you for serving either way. ;)

Definately wouldn't hurt for you to put some serious thought into ... although things run quite a bit differently in the Navy compared to what you do now.
When are you up for re-enlistment ??
Cheers,
PISTOL
