Got bored, looked for a Navy forum, joined said Navy forum. Now I am sitting here at NNPTC contemplating how nice it'll be to go on leave after I graduate. Any nukes or nuke wannabes here?

I went to boot camp on October 1. Was second graduating group to be issued NSUs. Now I am waiting for this command to finally authorize the NWU so I can stop worrying about ironing...

Dont worry about them...when you get to fleet...the ONLY thing nukes wear are the one piece blue cover-alls! My son suggests getting at LEAST 14 pairs of them! Oh...and your boots will hardly EVER get polished! But they will get destroyed quickly due to the grease, paint and other fun stuff down in the nuke department!

I am well aware of the coveralls thing... but... judging from what you've said I glean that your son is a surface warfare MM?

As an ET submariner I will be spending my days and nights... controlling rods. And shall never worry about the boot thing because submariners don't actually wear those when underway.

Hello, My name is Justin Stewart. I'm pushin 23 and just DEP'd in on May 27th of this year. I originally wanted to be a corpsman but since I scored well enough on the ASVAB, my recruiter told me of the nuke program and I became very interested. I ship to RTC early in February of next year.
