Hey guys! I'm 19 and I'm almost done with my enlistment process! I passed my ASVAB and the rate I wanted qualified with my score! WOO! I'm going in to be an AO. Are there any other AO's here?

I can't wait to be able to go to RTC and start my life as a Sailor! Heck, I would leave tomorrow if I could!

Ask your recruiter about DEP advancement.

Seriously, anything ANYTHING to graduate boot camp at higher than E-1. Graduate at E-2, or E-3! Learn that stuff, pass your tests. Learn the eleven general orders, rank recognition, the boot camp chain of command, all of it. And also get yourself ready for 60 push-ups in 2 minutes, 60 sit-ups in 2 minutes, and a 1.5 mile run in 12 minutes.

After you get through the DEP advancement at 'home', you will have to take the test at boot camp during P-days. Pass it then too, or you do not advance!

Then the very first practice PFA... you must pass that too if you want to advance!

Don't wait around doing nothing and graduate as an E-1, work hard and graduate as an E-3!

since the run in bootcamp is secretly a little longer then 1.5 and the air they pump into that place is extremely dry, ALOT of recruits dont pass it their first time. I will say, practice practice practice, because being an e1 sucks bad.. But dont kill yourself if you dont make it.. when you first run that track you feel dehydrated after like 3 laps.
