hi everyone! my name is maranda. i joined the navy in december of 2008. i leave for basic training on june 23 of this year. i have a 15 month old daughter named christina and i am going to miss her like crazy when i leave. i am 21 years old and i think the navy is a great oppurtunity for anyone. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and wish the best of luck to those serving our country.

yeah every day that goes by it gets closer to leaving and i want to break down and cry but i know that i am doing the right thing for her and she wont have to worry about anything.

Are you married, dear? It will be a toughie to leave her behind, that's for sure! It'll be a wonderful reunion when you get to see her again at your graduation!!
