Hello everyone! I am Jennifer. My husband is in the Navy, stationed in Japan aboard the USS George Washington. I am currently living with our daughter in New Orleans, LA.
I'm looking forward to making new friends here!

Welcome to the forum! Hope you get alot out of the site in regards to support, answered questions and friends! My husband is in the Navy as well but just got to sub school so not quite as far along as your husband! I hope you love New Orleans. I used to live near there for about 7 years. You will have no problem making friends. Everyone is pretty friendly and outgoing there...throw in a little bit of ecentric and you'll have yourself some interesting times!!! Enjoy the city and surrounding areas. I live in Mobile which is only 2 hours away and I'm about an hour drive from some beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast...the best in my opinion!!! So take advantage over the summer if you are good with a 3 hour drive one direction!!! Take care and keep us posted on you and your husband.

Hi, so glad that you joined! Japan, wow! Have you gotten to visit? My husband would like to be stationed there (me, I would prefer a visit and then come back home!). It must be difficult being that far away from each other. I wish you luck on finding a support system in LA (but you always have one here just in case).

yeah there isnt much support system here. dont know too many other navy wives in the area.
No, I have not gotten to visit. Its easier for him to travel instead of me and the baby
