Matt passed!

We just got a call from Matt. He had his cap ceremony today and officially sworn in as a sailor. :) He passed Battlestations - and for anyone who might have a sailor in DIV 150, that's the one I'm talking about.

^-^ He got to buy pop and a hersheys bar. He said it tasted like heaven. Haha.

We seem him in exactly one week from today! :biggrin:

He's not a grad and go. He gets Liberty Weekend. :P We have him for Friday and Saturday and then he leaves Sunday morning for his A-school.

Congratulations to Matt, Krisit!!! I'm so excited for the both of you! I know you are even more anxious now to get up there on the 10th. Yall are going to have such an amazing time. Just try really hard to absorb every second with him, bc the time flies and unfortunately you can allow yourself to get caught up in having to say goodbye before that moment comes. Send our congrats and future good lucks when you get to see him. I'll have to tell Adam to keep a look out for him at sub school. They may actually be in class together...Adam's on wait right now getting other things out of the way. What's Matt's last name?

Don't be surprised if he isn't very affectionate while at base, I guess they aren't really allowed to be. Some have gotten "in trouble" so to speak in front of everyone for showing affection. "my" matt was very "follow the rules" kind of guy so he didn't show a lot of affection, he did hold my hand while walking and hugged me when we first saw him, but I guess even that is frowned upon from what he told me. Travel safe and enjoy your time with him! Tell him congrats..take lots of pictures!

He is going for subs too. He's Nuclear, but on subs. I don't know much about the sub school half. XD Oh Matthew, lol, your schooling is longer than we expected.

Yeah, I know he can't be affectionate, which is why I bought him personalized Hershey's Kisses that say I love you on the paper thing. To make up for all the kisses we can't share while we are together :) Lol. There's like 210 of them, I think.

Oh you can bet I'll take lots of pictures!!! :D I take that thing EVERYWHERE with me, hahaha. I just can't wait to see him.

More great news!

Matt's division are in the Hall of Fame!! We got a call from him last night and he was talking about Recruit Heaven and how his division finally toughed it up and kicked ass and now they are in the Hall of Fame. :) I'm so proud of him, haha.

I'm very excited about it. I probably can't say that enough. I even have my hair done. Its looks amazing. I'll put pictures up of that soon and then pictures from the graduation will come later... much later because he's taking the laptop to Great Lakes with him until he orders a new one.

Not really. Mostly attacking him with the biggest hugs he's seen in his life ;) lol

I told him that this weekend was up to him. Its all about him and its whatever he wants to do. He doesn't really want to go anywhere, just sit around in the hotel for a little while and talk to his friends and just be with family and such and that's just fine with me. :)

I leave tomorrow morning at 5am. Yay 8 hour drives!

Hope you had a safe trip! Try to enjoy your time together. My husband wanted to stay in the hotel and take a hot shower and sleep in a big bed --- so I don't blame you for wanting to keep a low profile.

I just got to see him. We're still in Great Lakes, we see him again tomorrow for the whole day. I'm very excited!!

It was soooooo nice to see him. After they announced Liberty and everyone rushed the Hall, I lost sight of him and the rest of his family (except his Dad, he stayed with me until we could find him)

When I actually saw him, he didn't see me.. until I launched myself at him with a big "MATT!" he flew backwards but kept his balance and hugged me back really tightly until I finished crying, haha. :) I missed him so much.

He was very stiff most of the time when we were out in public. But when I got him to the hotel and he relaxed he was himself again. ^-^

I can't wait to see him again tomorrow. I'll have pictures up eventually, but come Sunday, Matt is taking the laptop with him to Charleston so I won't be able to upload them for awhile. Otherwise I've been taking a ton of pictures ^-^ Yay for having a chargeable battery haha.

Thanks for the congrats, he's very happy. So am I :D I'm beaming still, even though we just got back from dropping him off at the MPCON Hall. Sad because he could only give me a brief hug, nothing like the nice ones he'd give me at the hotel since we weren't in public. But that's ok, I get to see him again tomorrow!! :D

Thanks again for the congrats and well wishes. I hope all of you have safe weekends and weeks for the next couple weeks since I won't be able to log on for awhile

Thanks! It was a ton of fun :) I definitely enjoyed my time. It really sucked when we saw him go through security at the airport and we had to leave. The drive home was no fun.

A word of warning to the ladies who have husbands/boyfriends/fiances leaving for A-School.... its a lot harder than you would think!! But just keep a high head and keep in mind that he loves you and its just as hard for him to leave you as well!!! :) You'll be fine!
